Legrand® Showcases Electrical Wiring Solutions Designed to Prevent Sanitation Issues, Corrosion, while Reducing Downtime at 2017 IPPE

ATLANTA, January 31, 2017 — Legrand® is exhibiting its top production and processing industry products, systems, and services from its line of Cablofil® cable management systems and Pass & Seymour® electrical wiring devices at the 2017 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE). 2017 IPPE attendees can visit Legrand at booth #C271 to view and learn more about the company’s breadth of solutions that help maintain cleanliness, reduce and prevent corrosion, and maintain uptime in the production and processing industries.

MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS and preventing sanitation issues can be accomplished with products from Legrand that are easy to clean and help prevent the accumulation of bacteria. Among the products on display will be the new SteriGuard™ Antimicrobial Industrial Wiring Devices, which store antimicrobial growth inhibitors directly inside the product themselves. As part of the Pass & Seymour line, they are designed with embedded additives that are gradually released to the surface, providing continuous, long-lasting protection against the growth of bacteria, molds, mildews and fungi. Cablofil Wire Mesh Cable Trays feature an open design to address three main concerns of any food or beverage processor—contamination, personnel safety, and equipment and facility cleanliness.

PREVENTING CORROSION and keeping connections safe are key attributes of Legrand product lines. Cablofil Wire Mesh Cable Trays are easy to clean and constructed with 304L and 316L austenitic stainless steel. These materials are pickled and passivated to create a premium alloy that is resistant to corrosion. Cablofil stainless steel cable management products have been approved by the National Safety Foundation (NSF), Baking Industry Sanitation Standards Committee (BISCC) and the National Dairy Council (NDC).

MAINTAINING UPTIME AND REDUCING DOWNTIME can be accomplished by choosing electrical devices from Legrand that maximize plant efficiency and safety. Straight Blade and Turnlok® Ground Continuity Monitoring Plugs and Connectors offer visual indicators on continuity and power status to help keep equipment running smoothly and personnel safe. Non-fusible Safety Switches are constructed with quality 316-grade stainless steel or VALOX™ for use in harsh environments. These safety switches are IP69 rated and meet OSHA lockout/tagout provisions in severe environments. Mechanical Interlock Receptacles are designed to prevent disengaging under load, which can be hazardous to equipment. The Fusible Mechanical Interlock offers a blown fuse indicator for added equipment protection.
