overview

The Convia-enabled Wiremold energy management system is a highly flexible plug-n-play modular power delivery product for plug load (receptacles) and lighting applications. This new system utilizes the Walkerflex® modular wiring system, floor boxes, and poke-thru devices from Wiremold and the intelligence from Convia, Inc. that monitors energy usage in real time, dynamically sheds the loads on demand, and archives the information, which allows for maximum energy savings.

FEATURES
  • Modular system design, with flexible metal clad cables that plug into each other. Save up to 60% on labor installation compared to pipe and wire or BX and J-box wiring.
  • Modular plug-n-play components. Provides system flexibility. Easily reuse and relocate components. Relocation costs are reduced.
  • Pin and sleeve contact design. Provides reliability of electrical connections. Allows "First-to-Make, Last-to-Break" ground terminators which reduces potential electrical hazards.
  • Mechanical locking feature with an audible snap. Ensures a solid mechanical connection with maximum contact engagement.
  • Designed for #10 AWG Neutrals and up to a maximum of 6 circuits. Provides a wide variety of wiring configurations, while offering maximum system flexibility. The #10 AWG Neutrals allow the system to address nonlinear loads.
  • 10-Wire Systems available. Provides a flexible wiring solution for the more demanding workstation power requirements, e.g. extra neutral, isolated ground, and up to four circuits.
  • Made in the USA. Assembled and tested by skilled wiring professionals to meet the job specifications.
  • Meets NEC Section 300-22(c). Products are suitable for use in air handling spaces other than ducts and plenums, per UL2043.
  • UL Listed - to U.S. and Canadian safety standards for 20A 120V/208V and 277V/480V systems. Ideal for plug load and lighting applications.
  • Real time energy monitoring. System allows the end user to monitor in real time and set energy usage from any location.
  • Dynamic load shedding. Automatically reduces the building energy usage as the energy limits are being reached. Can also be done semi-automatically or manually.
  • Energy efficiency compliant: System qualifies for Title 24, ASHRAE 90.1, EPAct and other utility rebate programs.
  • System Archives. The ConviaNET systems allows end users to recall stored historic data for energy usage, security, etc. to analyze and monitor trends in order to maximize energy and cost savings.
  • System integration. The Protocol Bridge allows Convia Enabled Walkerflex Modular Wiring Systems to interface with existing building energy management systems.
  • LEED qualified product. New construction installations can qualify for up to 42 LEED points (LEED NC) and retrofit installations can qualify for up to 31 LEED points (LEED CI) in LEED credits.
  • Convia-enabled system energy-efficient accessories. System has been designed to work with daylight harvesting sensors, shade controls, occupancy and vacancy sensors to maximize the energy savings options.
  • Renovations/Retrofit capability. Works with existing Walkerflex installations, whether it's a Walkerflex modular wire system or a hard wired pipe and box system.
