Rated 3 out of 5 by from Helpful I have tried both the plug-in and in-wall devices from this company and while I like both products, I prefer the plug-in type for simplicity and portability. I had a bit of difficulty getting them to sync up with the app initially but after some troubleshooting, got it figured out. The compatibility with my Alexa devices was a must and they work great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I tried... I received the Smart Try Universal Dimmer, WiFi, white from Try It Sampling. Myself and my spouse, who is a certified electrician, attempted to install the device in our bedroom, but without success. There were two pieces missing from the kit that are required to have the dimmer fully functional. There is no way I could 've even gotten that far alone, so this was an unsuccessful sample and I believe it would be for many people who aren't "certified" electricians. Thanks for the oppritunity, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great functionality and easy to install! This product was super easy to install and integrate with Alexa, the instructions in setting the Smart Switch with our home network were very easy to follow and everything was up and running in a manner of minutes. Being able to remotely control the lights is very convenient, you can also manually click it on or use the app which is great. It is also still able to be used as a normal switch. The Wi-Fi smart switch looks almost identical to the other switches in our home with the addition of a nice small cool white led to show the switch is off and helps find it in the dark. This was a great addition on our journey to a smart home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Easy to install..directions where clear on what to do..so far we like it. Took about a half hour to figure everything out and once we got the hang of everything the kids find it pretty cool....Great buy and clear instructions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use light dimmer I found this dimmer to be easy-to-install and easy to use. Nothing spectacular, but it gets the job done nicely and looks like a nice, modern light dimmer. We had been looking for a classier-looking dimmer and we found it with this product.

One of the switches I intend to use this on is a 3-way switch. Do both switches need to be smart switches? Or can I leave my other switch as is and install only this one?

Asked by: Bobby
To use the Smart dimmer in a three way you need to wire it up with a Radiant HMR multi location dimming remote.

As a three way does it need two to operate properly?

The WWRL50LA dimmer would need to be paired with a HMRTC to complete a 3way application. https://www.legrand.us/search.aspx?q=hmrtc

Will this dimmer work with a ceiling fan? I currently have a basic dimmer switch to turn on and control the speed of the fan there is no light with the fan. So just need on/ off and speed control.

Asked by: Matt23
This product is only intended to control Lighting loads. It is not designed or rated to control the speed of a fan. You can certainly to control the Light with this product but it is not intended to control a motor load like a fan.

Does the WiFi switch work with Samsung SmartThings? Being able to use an app or home assistant is one thing... I want smart rules, such as: if after sunset, turn on front door light when doorbell rings. I’m currently doing this with Wemo.

Asked by: Runwire
Currently they work with Alexa, Google Home Assistant, and with Samsung ARTIK™ Cloud Services.
