These advances in technology enable the control of light at the individual fixture level via Luminaire Level Lighting Controls or LLLCs. Energy codes are updated regularly to push buildings further down the path to Zero Net Energy. Acceptance testing and commissioning are part of most medium and large size projects and integration with other systems happens more often. This course will explore why including a Lighting Control "Sequence of Operation" or SOO is important and how to justify the need to add SOO documentation to every project, like all the other contract documents. Without documents that clearly define the interactions between all the Lighting Control Devices it's quite possible that the last contractor or technician on the project will be making the decisions about how the controls will operate.
