Legrand Showcases Full Spectrum of Limitless Lighting Controls: From Standard to Smart

Illuminating the future with innovative lighting control solutions for residential and commercial spaces.

SYRACUSE, NY (February 5, 2024) Legrand®, a global leader in cutting-edge lighting control solutions, is announcing its Limitless Lighting Controls: From Standard to Smart showcase at the NAHB International Builders’ Show® in Las Vegas February 27-29, 2024. Offering broad solutions to cultivate connectivity in the home, Legrand is building on its already strong foundation of lighting controls.

With the progression of smart lighting technology and updated lighting standards throughout the United States, the importance of lighting control solutions to meet modern needs is simultaneously shifting. Legrand is committed to innovating new lighting control technology by offering products and solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s homeowners.

At the 2024 NAHB International Builders’ Show®, Legrand is proud to highlight its Limitless Lighting Controls: From Standard to Smart solutions with the announcement of two new product offerings.

Among Legrand’s latest offerings is the radiant® LED Advanced Dimmer, featuring the widest possible LED dimming range with high- and low-end dimming adjustments that allow for optimization of the range based on LED variations or user preference. Designed to work right out of the box, it is widely compatible with LED bulbs and fixtures up to 150W at 120VAC and the dimmer’s optional LED burst mode helps alleviate turn-on delays and popcorning.

"The broad adoption of LED lamps and fixtures has revolutionized the lighting industry, and we have evolved our own lighting controls to meet that need,” says Manny Linhares, Sr. Director of Product Marketing & Strategy. “Our latest LED dimming engine delivers peak dimming performance out of the box while allowing for super easy adjustments when an LED fixture may not have optimal performance. This makes for a better lighting experience from the electrical contractor to the end user and homeowner.”

Legrand is also excited to showcase the next generation of its Smart Lighting with Wi-Fi solution with new Matter-enabled devices - building upon its already robust collection of Smart Lighting solutions. The new Matter-enabled devices connect directly to a home’s Wi-Fi network and are managed by approved Matter controllers (or hubs) provided by industry-leading smart home platforms from Amazon, Google, Apple and Samsung. Adding next-level convenience to control lighting, the second generation of Smart Lighting with Wi-Fi allows users the flexibility to use their preferred smart home platform – eliminating the need for another application or plugin.

“This launch rounds out Legrand's complete smart lighting residential lineup, with a lighting solution that is ideal for builders looking to support the buyer's desire for smart control, even in entry-level and mover-upper homes,” says Desiree Webster, Product Manager, IoT. “Matter compatibility represents a significant leap forward in allowing homeowners and DIYers to enjoy control with the benefits of a simplified, out-of-box setup and the user's own choice of control applications, all with the capability to connect seamlessly to other smart home products. The additional enhancements to the Gen 2 Wi-Fi platform further Legrand’s commitment to supporting the residential builder with innovative solutions designed for every home or project size.”

While the new Matter-enabled Wi-Fi smart devices provide a simple solution for lighting controls, Legrand also offers a more robust whole-home solution through the Smart Lighting with Netatmo offering that features more functionality and capability that better serves larger home projects. Netatmo uses a hub as the foundation that connects to a home’s Wi-Fi network before establishing a robust, dedicated mesh network to support up to 98 smart switches, dimmers and/or outlets. Legrand will be showcasing innovative smart lighting solutions through an interactive experience at this year’s International Builders’ Show.

In addition to these lighting control solutions, Legrand is excited to showcase its EV chargers for the first time at IBS this year, bringing even more power and connectivity to the home in 2024. Come experience the limitless possibilities of lighting controls and power with Legrand at the International Builder Show in the West Hall at booth number W4811.
